I actually like Concept Bureau. They're a little annoying with their IG ads but some of the content is worth reading.
I'd also consider looking at Substack authors like Matt Klein.
My favorite newsletter has nothing whatsoever to do with my work, it's a weekly newsletter, Monument Monday, put out by Abarta Heritage, a group of Irish archeologists. As the name implies, each week they focus on a different site in Ireland, and the quality of the research, writing, and photography is always excellent. I also used to like the New Yorker's archival newsletter, but they fired the woman who did it two years ago and the quality hasn't been the same since.
I have really liked Geekout and Creator Science, signed up for so many over the years and those are still ones I do like to read when I get them. Gives me an actual reason to want to open my inbox! Do you have any favorites? I’m good for signing up and then just never reading a lot of them.
Paul Worthington's Off Kilter is consistently great
I'm going to have to check some of these out because I don't really like any of the ones I am currently getting and lots of these are ones I hadn't heard of before.
