If you’re talking someone with 1.5-4 (or 5) I’d say anywhere from $60K-$80K. Lower end generally at smaller agencies and higher end usually at bigger agencies - NYC. AA1’s response is way too high for advertising mid-level strategists (unless you’re lucky I guess?). That’s leaning more toward a senior strategist salary.
Sometimes career transitioners can jump more quickly. If you have a career or two behind you, you can connect threads and be client facing more quickly.
Seconding what Strategist 1 said.
Our bands are:
Associate: 60-68k
Strategist: 70-90k
Senior Strategist: 90k-120k
Associate Director: 120+
$80k-$110k

$100k for an agency mid level seems high to me unless it’s a brand consulting mid level, which is more like 5~ experience. Mid level at agencies I’ve seen has been more like $70-90k. But if you can negotiate, obviously do it.
Thank you D1!
Moves between 70-100k. Do you have 1-3 years experience, or more like 4-6? Size of agency and type of strategist also matter.
