What companies seem to give you a chance to become an Underwriter without direct experience? I'm getting denied from getting into the Underwriting program and for Underwriting roles. My experience is rooted in property claims.

Female 27..yoe 6 mostly in mngmnt.Couple of months back i switched into technical line all by self study,no real world expsure.Luckily i was able to clear interviews but now i feel like that am stuck..nt able to grasp technical wrk really well, although i am holding industry experience still feeling like fresher knowing literally nothing(am fresher in this line though but still...) Everyday i get up &sleep with work anxiety I wana give up but dont know what to do. Am i being impatient?

The learning and design content I write belongs to the company where I work. Am I able to add and/or share my work in my portfolio? Is it acceptable to create some generic content to demonstrate my skill set?

I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. Just made a career pivot and accepted a job with Progressive in sales. I’ve heard more good things than bad about the company. I have been talking to a recruiter for a little over a month about a position. In my organization, most with my role are commission based. I make a set salary due to the firm I work for as an account manager/ coordinator for clients… I coordinate their enrollments, working with each groups HR department as to benefits and payroll purposes, and schedule our benefit counselors accordingly. I feel like every company lies about “working your way up.” You’re never allowed to blatantly say that you don’t like your position and you’d like to transition to HR or Finance. It’s almost as if once you get in claims, you’re stuck.
