What do everyone talk about at happy hour? It’s hosting by our CFO so I assume we all have to go, but I don’t know what to say

Start with an icebreaker. Go in a circle and ask everyone to rank the most attractive people in the office. Make sure to establish firm eye contact with your CFO when you rank them #1.

Executives also need to be able to show that they can outperform the competition and don’t shy away from confrontation. So to demonstrate to your CFO that you’re executive material, you should probably outdrink everyone, spout your most controversial political opinions, and challenge anyone who disagrees with you to a bar fight

Honestly I would be thrilled to hear this at a happy hour instead of the "so you know the difference between whiskey and bourbon" stuff. Like bro at least give me something to remember

Honestly, at work social functions the last thing I want yo talk about is work. I take those opportunities to talk with others about what they do outside of work. WLB can be tough to achieve, but when someone has a passion outside of work, they tend to light up about it.

I’m in a rental with a lease that says no pets (i’m sure a common clause?) and i didn’t have any pets moving in. 6 months in, i got a puppy lol. I don’t want to invite potential conflict by updating my landlord, my lawyer partner says the no pets clause is void in toronto anyway - but I worry about a bad landlord reference if they find out i.e come for repairs.

My coworker did mention to the manager that they’re not being paid well for the work they do, and our manager took it personally and told them they’re ungrateful 🥲
