Fly business class always, stay at tier 1 hotels and get separated (but connected) rooms for kids, eat good food, drive nice cars, drink blue label exclusively, have household help so we don’t fight about chores (this includes bartenders at my parties, servers, clean up crew and sometimes valet service for my guests) pay for kids college - Those are some of my top expenses..
Basically- outsourcing all physical / menial labor so I can focus on work - take calls on weekends- nights etc.

I use points to upgrade where I can. But lately certain airlines have business class fares that make it cheaper to buy rather than use points - Qatar, Etihad, BA, etc. I’ve gotten 4 tickets for ~12k.

I buy expensive clothes for my cats. Nothing less than Burberry or Louis for my fur babies. I plan on using my bonus for a blinged out cat tower with unlimited supply of catnip

What’s ppmd

Principal Partner Managing Director

I could tell you how I spend my money, but the specific details vary a lot from person to person since we all have different life situations and preferences, and there’s also a pretty wide range in PPMD comp.

More than the stuff I do or buy, the big financial benefit of the position is I never have to think about whether something is affordable. Money stress isn’t a thing. If we want to go somewhere or eat somewhere or do something or buy something, we may discuss whether it’s a reasonable idea or expenditure, but “can we afford it” doesn’t enter into the picture.

This job has its stresses, but that reality is quite liberating.

Roughly $350K - $5M

I’ll be asking my last job for a letter of recommendation but I’m not sure who to ask. My boss, who is lovely and would write an amazing LOR. Or my boss's boss who would put minimal effort in but it would have more weight.
