What do you deem “non negotiable” when it comes to a job? For me, I’ve been WFH for 10 years. I will never go into an office

The one thing I'd really avoid to that level these days would be an excessive amount of travel. I used to be on the road a lot and it became inordinately boring. I don't mind some traveling, but my days as a road warrior are over.

This is a good one. Constant travel is so draining

At my level, I require at least three weeks of vacation time. I will go for more, but I won't accept anything less.

At this point in time I can’t afford a non negotiable. I’m just glad to have a job to go to

Time off of at least 3 weeks plus some sick time. Flexibility in the workplace, meaning, if something comes up and I need to work from home, I can.

I cannot work in office 5 days a week. It has to be hybrid or fully remote.

Hii fishes
I had applied for consultant role in Societe generale. The application status is under status "Under Consideration".If you could please help me out as there has been no update and it is going to be 1 month since I applied.

Most likely Toronto, Canada. Anyone else thinking CAN?

I’ve got a friend in Dubai who has experience in IB and VC at junior levels (in London and Dubai) and would like to break into consulting. He’s at a small cap VC at the moment and works not that challenging, and he wants to break into MBB or tier 2 for strategy. Anyone happy to look at his CV?

Hey y’all. I went through an exceptionally traumatizing experience a few years ago that has totally & utterly shattered my confidence, self worth, self esteem etc. I have a hard time portraying my work experience + deserving of a new role.

For context, I did well in uni, got into law school but due to finances + the experience in question I didn’t end up going. Kept working in the public sector as a coordinator & now got my scrum master certificate to transfer to SM role in finance/ tech. Help

Curious what’s a fair salary in MA? Was just told that there is likely not going to be a chance for a raise during my upcoming performance review due to my salary already being “above average for the industry” based on my employer’s questionable research. I’ve been with the company 8.5 years & am the only one in my role, which they can’t operate without. I execute tasks from two investment advisors and two financial planners - they make the decisions of what should happen & I make it happen.

User experience mgr salary? I support six product teams and eight reports. 20+ years experience

I am a registered sales assistant which means I have my series 7. I also have the 63 and my Life & Health license. I was a financial advisor but the role is commission only so I decided to take a role as an assistant for some time to learn etc. I really like my role, but I only make 32k a year and after taxes I only take home about 25k. I have a gut feeling that I’m not being paid market value but it’s tough to find comparable salaries. Do you think $15.38/hr is a fair wage in this case?

Currently a Wealth Advisor for Citi but I honestly hate it here with a passion it’s the worst company I’ve ever worked for in my life and I’ve been in Wealth Management in the banking channel for over a decade. Series 7, Series 63, Life, CFP, ChFC, and soon to have my MBA with a focus in Mergers & Acquisitions. I’m look to enter another area of Finance at this point instead of starting over somewhere else from scratch, but not sure what direction to go. Interested in Investment Banking or M&A.

I have an offer and want to negotiate

1. London base salary but I have to absorb all the expenses (train + stay)
I am thinking to negotiate to

2. home base salary and have my expenses paid for

I know that's depends on the amount I have to travel (and potentially stay) but at the moment this is unknown. Past 8 months was just twice a month + 2 nights stay.

The only thing I know is it won't be every week, the return trian ticket is about £80-100, depends I could plan ahead.
