Advice needed - boyfriend has almost 3.5 years of finance experience at a bank. Interviewed for PwC valuation senior associate and now recruiter says they want to hire him at “experienced associate” because he has no valuation experience. Is this too big of a step backwards in career? Should he push back and see if it gets him anywhere? If he does accept Associate, is it reasonable to ask for written, definitive timeline (1 year?) for promo to Senior upon meeting standards? Help!

This sounds like a very easy question to ask your firm 🤔
Of course you can when do you start the orientation process for the new firm you have to disclose the at financial assets that you have. And that means disclosing these restricted stock options. The new firm can tell you the appropriate thing to do. You don’t necessarily have to get rid of it but it does need to be disclosed and you do need to follow the policy
Do you work in the office location that signs the audit? Are you manager and above? I’m a manager and my husband works for a client that’s audited out of my office. He has to sell his RSU’s the day he receives them. He is permitted, however, to hold onto his ESPPs.
You’re very odd. Pretty sure not wasting my time doing a training during busy season is indeed working smarter not longer. This is the weirdest interaction I’ve had on here to date lol
Not even gonna indulge the dumb LOS comment lol.
Lots of people have this issue (e.g. Amazon) - you just have additional reporting that you have to do. It’s not an absolute that you exercise and sell right away. Reach out to ask independence ASAP and get it straightened out.
Not immediately, but within 30 days.
