I'll laugh at you inside the first time I see it and quickly forget about it subsequently.
You sound chill
Buy it now before kids, daycare, mortgages, and life get in the way of fun spending.
Agree with this 100000%.
Don’t care.
Who cares? It’s your money and it’s 100% up to you how you spend it and what you do with it. Do what makes you and stop worrying about what others think.
95% of people wouldn’t be able to spot a $300 vs $3000 bag. Of those that do - there will be a few that are either jealous or judgmental, but for most it’s a conversation starter. Personally I’m into watches (costs me a bag for the wife every time I add to the collection) and it’s been good for developing relationships - have helped a few of my partners track down vintage pieces.
One of my associates wears a Rolex Submariner to work everyday ($9-10k). Maybe he got it as a gift, comes from money, or worked his ass off to buy it. Whether he likes nice things or is ambitious is irrelevant because he performs a high level. I think most managers feel that way. Clients too. Remember, it’s not a secret that we can afford luxury. The professionals you see without it are probably putting money into something else just as valuable.

Don’t care. Wear what makes you happy. This would only be a problem if our client is the Salvation Army and you walk in with a Birkin bag. And even then, only if there have been comments from the client.
Just think outside the box and don’t get the same damn brown damier bag that every woman in New York seems to have
My staff drives Audi and wears Gucci, who cares
As long as you are dressed professionally and appropriately I don’t care what it is or how much it costs and I hope your managers care more about your performance than what the label on your bag says too.
If it makes you happy, then go ahead and buy/wear it.
No one cares what you own, unless you brag about it or make an effort to point it out to everyone.
Uh you should see my office ... I think 90% of the staff thru senior girls have Prada/YSL/Chanel daily. I don’t care, whatever makes u happy
More power to you if that’s how you want to spend your money.
I’ve eye rolled at a few seniors who complained about not having money for down payments as they come to work with their 6-7k Chanel purses, but again, whatever makes you happy.
Maybe go into PCS, those clients are the only ones I can think of who might be impressed by something so trivial.
C1 - one of the things I love about public is people are constantly trying to grow and usually willing to admit that they are wrong so shout out to you for acknowledging that. What made it condescending was the suggestion of where I should be working and stating that I can impress certain types of people with material items.
I honestly don’t think management cares as long as you’re delivering good work, maintaining relationships, etc. I’m not going to stop wearing my Ferragamo shoes or LV bag just cause I’m worried about what people thing
Curious to know which company you’re working at w your bougie wardrobe. Not hating, jw where to hop to for that lifestyle.
It doesn’t matter to me either but I have actually had a partner say to me once that they don’t know how some people that work here can afford bags and bracelets that cost so much - and was obviously referring to me. I thought that was so petty to mention, in front of others nonetheless. You don’t know my financial situation and you shouldn’t assume “I can’t afford it”. And really who cares what anyone else is wearing, it’s not high school.
He/She doesn’t know how some people can afford it because he/she knows they don’t pay us enough? Lol
AA1 appreciate the feedback but was specifically asking for management feedback. It does matter if it comes off poorly.
Doesn’t bother me. I do try to avoid super fancy brands around clients but not 100% sure why I do that lol.
I’m a director and if I see an associate or senior with a nice bag, all I think is “nice! good for them!”
I drive a Mercedes and when I wasn’t around the partner on my job asked my teammates if I was committing fraud haha so confused
Of course. Fraud is the only logical way.
