What is a realistic amount of attorneys one paralegal should be supporting? I don't mind the number of cases I am working, I just think it would be more efficient if I was supporting fewer attorneys with the same amount of cases on my plate. Wouldn't a major client- (Billion $ Company) appreciate knowing they have paralegals dedicating 1/4th or 1/3rd of their time just to them. Or is it common to be supporting over 8 attorneys for 10+ clients?

Joined in Oct for SAP functional. Now one manager who interviewed me reached out that there is a training material developer project which will start on 20 nov for Oracle timeline is 2 months only and SAP projects are in pipeline there was one coming but no guarantee if its final and if it has to come it will be in this month because in dec new projects do not onboard. I have worked on oracle in the past but now am fully into SAP. Should I take this project or wait until Jan for SAP project?

With that being said I told her that I would complete my certificate by the summer around the time she would make partner. My boss (atty) is so disorganized! I’ve been with him 6 months and he’s having a hard time delegating, sharing info and managing deadlines. I’ve organized the caseload to manage the deadlines. He says he wants me to help with discovery but when I offer to start on one, he says he needs to do it. (Since he might have to present as evidence) When I give him deadlines and ask for the docs he says he’ll get to it. It’s a small 1 man firm, and I’m the first assistant besides his wife. Any advice?

Where do you find the time to get everything done in the day when you have multiple partners, associates and equity partners that interrupt you and want things turned around immediately while simultaneously working on deadlines?
