A $500m organization that was founded ~10years ago comprised of organically grown KPMG professionals, as well as professionals from MBB, AP/A&M, Kearney, Big 4 strategy houses, and other brilliant people that serve a breath of Fortune 500, bulge bracket PE, mid-market, and startup companies.

K4 youre nothing thinking with enough strategery. Could be a perfect move!

As an example, we might help a client decide which markets to enter, how they should enter (e.g. build in house, but, or partner), identify and prioritize a target list of companies they could buy, diligence those target companies, and create an overall roadmap to help the client enter that market. Just one example of how Strategy works with a client.

Wait isn't Kearney just like a supply chain and ops shop? Why is OP coming for us lol? We compete with real strategy firms, not ATK.

What did our ops strategy team do to offend you man?

likefunny

Well said. The prestige factor only matters when you’re young and don’t have anything else going for you. Grown folks don’t care where you went to college or who you work for.

Not strategy consulting.

like

Maybe. But there’s a lot of ex-MBB, and particularly BCG here at the senior levels after MDP at your firm.

Trying to compete with MBB essentially (similar to Strategy&, EYP, etc)

Goin down the gutter from what I’ve heard recently

like

Alex Miller left working in general, not specifically KPMG lol

It leans toward M&A transactions (CDD, synergy identification, etc.) and PE (portco improvement), but some of us only do growth strategy and performance improvement work for your typical F500 companies.

For context, the most common competition I see during the sales process for typical strategy engagements is McK, A&M, and EYP.

I’m a new analyst at an IB group. I’ve felt that I’ve done well my first month or two and delivered higher quality work, but I feel that lately I’ve been slipping up the past few weeks given the intensity of the deal as well as having multiple peripheral work streams. It also doesn’t help the second year analyst quit so I don’t necessarily have a resource to lean into. (Cont.)

Hi everyone, I have a quick question that’s kind of silly. I work at a pretty small company leading marketing. My title is technically Marketing Lead but I want to put Head of Marketing on my LinkedIn etc. I think of these titles as totally interchangeable—I just like the way the second one reads better. I know titles don’t really matter, but I’m battling a little bit of imposter syndrome.
