I have a question for all those with a non-tech background who broke into the fintech sector as a graduate. How did you manage to get into fintech and what roles are you involved in?

I am about to graduate with a business degree but can't seem to find any referrals or even information about working in the top fintech firms in my country. I would be really glad to learn about your experiences and any advice would be really appreciated!

How many of you work directly with business clients (sales, marketing, R&D, supply chain etc. - essentially, non IT)?
Or is it the onshore business analyst who acts as a bridge between you and business?

Hey everyone. I found out we are expecting our first child and I’m really nervous. I got into consulting one year ago and I’m up for promotion this year. With timing of our performance conversations I would have to inform I’m pregnant before outcomes - then shortly after the promotion effective date I would go on a leave for due date. I had joined Harman on 3rd Oct at 27lpa(25.11 fixed + 1.88 var). I was tagged to MBRDI(Mercedes) proj & I gave 3 interviews for same. But now I'm told that I'm being dropped from the Mercedes account as there was a skill set mismatch. I was hired as scrum master but the expectations from client are either should've have dev exp or springboot microservices knowledge. Not sure how do I go about this situation. I'd dropped some higher ctc offers for joining Mercedes Benz at Harman. Kindly advise.
