What is the application process for a Associate Data Scientist role ?

I am currently with VMWARE as a digital sales rep. I have another offer in hand with Confluent. The comp is lucrative as compared to the current one but I am sceptical if the move is worth. The next role is of Commercial account executive. How is Confluent as a company, is the move from VMware to there worth given the situation at VMWARE post broadcom acquisition.

Is anyone familiar with post IB exit into something like IR? Still new to the game and other than PE (due to the herd mentality), I don’t know much about other exits for better work/life balance. If anyone has insight on type of work, recruiting process, and comp it would be super appreciated. TIA

Hey everyone! At what stage do you think it would be appropriate to share that I am currently on an H-1B work visa? I got reached out by the CEO regarding an opportunity they are recruiting for. I applied and have made it to the final round of interviews that’s this week. In the application they didn’t ask about sponsorship or anything, and I didn’t want to automatically disqualify myself by telling them before giving my final round presentation. My final interview is Tuesday.

Getting worried about hours. Last year I was really low (first year associate), I’ve had really good reviews so far and no negative feedback. This month was slow too (about 95), and I really don’t understand why I can’t get work? I’ve asked different partners, including the heads of my groups, but it hasn’t really materialized anything. I am fairly green in academia (< 1 year) and I want to shift to an area of research which I always wanted to do but never could as a Ph.D. student (because of conflict of interest).
The issue I am facing is that due to lack of my documented research experience in this field (read, lack of papers) I am finding it very hard to land any grant and reviewers keep saying "The PI hasn't demonstrated any experience in said research" blah blah.
Any advice on how to overcome this?
