My fiancée almost lost her life to a medical emergency. The doctor needed me to stay home 2 weeks to supervise her post-operative care once the hospital discharged her. We had nobody near that could help so I got permission to attend class remotely for 2 weeks from the dean and all professors. One professor removed me from a graded argument the week after I’d return. When I asked about this error, he had said “I had planned on your failure to appear” and that he preplanned giving me a 0 grade.

I have been finding a number of providers that are in-network (UHC) but the surgery centers are out of network and I was told that I have to use in-network. Has anyone else encountered this problem? I'm not seeing how much use the benefit is when the most expensive part is out of network.

Can I just vent on how annoyed I am with the increase in “priority boarding” of people that are able bodied? I am happy to let them on first. But I think they should get off last. Hi there. I previously had a beautiful baby girl through IVF and emergency c-section. Now I'm in the process of completing my pre-requisites before another FET. I had my hydrosonogram, trial embryo transfer, and an overall check of my uterus. Due to my muscle thickness, they're recommending with my next pregnancy to have another c-section. IUI, is it worth it or skip and go straight to IVF?

To do an ERA or not before transfer is the question. My clinic said currently the recommendation is to only do an ERA with multiple transfer fails, but I’ve read about ERA’s for those with recurrent pregnancy loss as well. Anyone go through this experience?

As holidays come around, the family has upped their questions about when we are having kids and why we haven’t yet. Doesn’t help that my sibling with one other kid just announced her second pregnancy. Definitely happy for her, but don’t feel like I need to explain to the whole family that we are struggling.

Not the results I was hoping for this morning. Went for my first appointment before starting injections this evening. Only 9 follicles. Was told birth control can suppress some so they may just not be visible yet but feeling very panicked now despite the doctor saying it was ok for my age.

Husband and I have been TTC for almost a year. His semen analysis came back all normal with the exception of morphology at 1% (Kruger Strict criteria). Anyone have insights into morphology and it’s impacts on fertility? From what I’ve read and after talking to our fertility specialist morphology seems subjective.

I am on my second IUI attempt - I have PCOS and this time the ultrasound found no mature follicles after five days on letrozole. My RE is “stair stepping” the letrozole - moving to 5 mg immediately - in order to force ovulation. Has anyone experienced this? Taking letrozole mid-cycle?

Travel and TTC combo haven’t worked. After 6 months, the only offer I got included 4 weeks paid and FLMA only after 1 year. So 1) go and risk laughable benefits or 2) stay but risk TTC. So shitty 😭

Have you used or ever heard someone use oral progesterone during IVF? I did injections in my first round which failed, but the practice in my home country uses oral progesterone a lot. I looked up but couldn’t find much info on why not using the oral route in the US.. going to ask my doctor next week but just wondering if anyone knows—- getting daily shots is a little too much.. thank you!

Advice and/or consolation anyone? My wife and I (both above average health 30year olds) were trying for 11 months before getting pregnant and then had a week 5 early miscarriage a few months back. If the stress and surprise of just how difficult it apparently is to get pregnant wasn’t enough, the miscarriage put us over. We got back to it and have been trying for the last 2 months again, still no luck. We’re freaking out… all we want is a family. Any similar stories? Advice? 😢

Anyone experience heartburn after retrieval? This is my third and haven’t had acidity before. Doctor warned about pain, nausea etc but no guidance around heart burn which gets real bad when I sleep.
