I went through many rounds of interviews at Accenture and then received an offer which I accepted. After I received notice that my background check had cleared I contacted the recruiter to ask when I would receive my start date and they came back with a request that I meet with someone else. Is this normal?

Especially if somebody’s pronouns are unconventional (may be someone trans, or who looks like a “Tom boy” or someone who identifies as non binary but presents as a woman/man), rather than be misgendered, they’re telling you their pronouns so you don’t have to guess or assume wrong and make them feel uncomfortable. Others sharing pronouns are allies to make those people feel safe and like sharing pronouns is normal (which it is becoming).
The way I think of it, if I assume the wrong gender for someone, it creates an awkward/sometimes hurtful situation. So that’s what this tries to avoid. But I think we’re all still learning how to do this the right way as a society

Call people by their names. Problem solved.
It’s used on ACN’s internal site as well. I don’t use it and I’m in the vast minority.
Depends on job role I think. People in D&I, recruiting/HR, executive coaching and other people centric roles seem to use it more, from what I can see.
They’re making an effort to be more inclusive and allies, that’s great!
I think it also helps if binary people show pronouns because it builds inclusion for people who need to use them.
Yeah I was wondering how to add pronouns on LinkedIn. she/her he/him/his It's good that people are starting to list it.
