List what I’m grateful for and my intention for the day
Coffee and work on the critical thing I need to get done for the day. Once the rest of the team comes in then the rest of my day can easily go to $&#
I bounce straight into email. But that’s because I already listened to at least one podcast and read the news and social media over breakfast.
Listen to my CW vent about something. Check my calendar. Connect to the server. Ready to go.
Coffee. Email. Playlist. Work
Find the right music or podcast. Double check the work that I had to do last night and present this morning, check email, swear at the 5:30pm meeting for the work they said was urgent for this morning. Walk around the block. Then check my flagged emails from the day/week before that I’ve been putting off. And figure out how to get those checked off my list alone or ask a co worker for advice as to why I can’t get it done
I usually start the day by editing something I wrote the night before. That lasts about 20 min. Then the rest of the day is pretty unproductive.
Breakfast over music and reading emails/articles, making sure nothing was left in the dust from yesterday, getting a to do list ready for the day, tackling the biggest thing on it before noon or meetings start for the day
Use the restroom, grab coffee and a granola bar, look at meetings I have for the day, create a to-do list of things I should work on in between meetings, find a playlist, get that bread
Coffee, calendar, email, advil. All conducted in a panic
Check email, make my oatmeal and coffee, then put on a podcast and get to work
