What kind of side gigs are people doing to make ends meet or just pursue something that interests you? And does your boss know or care? I have about three of them but my boss only knows about my life coaching business.

I've tried a bit of everything. DoorDash, freelancing on UpWork, random flipping things on Facebook marketplace. None of it is all that lucrative, but it's at least giving me some extra money. And all of it is preferable to donating plasma 😂

Right! I did some AI training for awhile, until they dropped the pay so low it wasn't worth it. And it was hard work brain wise. I need something that doesn't tax my mentals.

I just started looking at remote volunteer opportunities. Unpaid, but there are a lot of skills I could learn, and it’s been interesting seeing what's out there. Good potential for me to eventually turn it into a paying side opportunity.

Instacart is my go to. It's pretty popular in my area and there's always money to be made for people who are willing to go shopping for other people. I can't say I make a lot of money but it helps with my student loans.

I've thought about that but I hate driving. Do they hire people to just shop but not deliver?

This executive I support has given me an e-gift card for the 3rd time in the past 5 months. Each gift card is $300.

I had already told him monetary awards were not necessary as the "thank-you" and words of appreciation were enough for me.

Is it normal to receive such large monetary awards? I think 50~100 is acceptable

I've done so well in this new role within the company that they are hiring another person to assist with what I do. I've voiced to my boss that I'd like to manage this department and they indicated that this is the thought for the future. Now they are asking me to train this person while I have my plate full. Is it wrong for me to expect either a promotion or to be paid to train this person?

I found a company I was really excited about working at. I applied for the job and went through 5 rounds of interviews. At the end they said I was OVER qualified and they want me for a different position higher up in the company. I was super excited they then had me go through 5 more rounds, 3/5 people were the same. The interviews mostly went "didn't you get the job, I highly recommend you? I'll just put you down as a 10". After those were done they told me I was UNDER qualified. Can't win!
