Encourage this person to have a chat with HR and an attorney. Have her write down everything that has happened. I think the most important thing is to be there for this person as an ally. Listen to her and be someone she can lean on. If she doesn’t know of an attorney, find one for her. Help get all of the resources and knowledge so she can make the next move. You can also voice your concerns about this racist behavior to HR. Do you have a diversity and inclusion contact? I would contact them to see if they can give you advice as well. Lastly does your company have an anonymous hotline to report discriminatory, unethical, harassing behavior, etc? If so use it. I wish you and her well.

That is true and I’m not dismissing that. Black women and women of color are going through so much bullshit from white managers and C-suite that it make it hard to stay and have a thriving advertising career. We need to protect women of color because they’re the most vulnerable.
Thank you all for the advice and words. I truly wish action would be taken against this racist higher up but I can hope for the best and that is that my friend continues to be happy and do well. I’ll try to help her as much as I can during this time.
I found out some racist higher up spoke negatively on someone I know, who's a woman of color. There is nothing that would have supported their comments at all. They don't even work with or know this person. Now, because of this sensative white person, shes being constantly attacked and critized for minor stuff. Also, she got switched teams and is clear she's being pushed out. It's very unfair and I wanna see what I can do or what should be done, if anything.
This unfortunately happens to us a lot. It’s very hard to go through especially when you know people are watching your every move. Continue to support her and be honest about her getting out as fast as she can so she can control her narrative.
