No, they still need someone to do the weekend work for them.
Companies will always need an outside perspective. Especially in strategy. And working in-house is a nightmare for creative work. Corporate culture can’t nurture creativity.
I am in-house and now I know why the work is bad. The many layers of bureaucracy makes it impossible for good work to survive. I’d bet the few places that produce good work have strong barriers to separate marketing from the rest of the company.
Second this too. The amount of politics and fear of decision making is insane.

We just became AOR for a brand that has a decent size in-house team that was doing banners, social posts, etc. on their own.
It was. Bad. They need help. They absolutely need an agency. I don’t think they’d even know where to start assembling the right team to do what we do.
Can’t wait for everyone to fire WK once they realize this.
They probably need them, but I’m totally fine if they think they don’t.
