So I just moved to consulting after B school, and It's more money than I've made my entire life. After paying for rent and living expenses, I have 6000$ left over every month. My student loan payments are about 1200/month at 7% interest. I still owe another 95K on my loan. I have the option to pay more every month and reduce my overall interest paid.

I spoke with a recruiter recently about a position in her company and before we even began talking about the job, she asked if I needed an sponsorship, I told her no, I dont need one. But she continued to press on the subject until I had to tell her I was a US citizen. I dont know why, but the whole conversation made me extremely uncomfortable. So my question is, can recruiters ask you about your visa/immigration status even when I told her I didnt need a sponsorship??

How do I set a quote for two blog pages? A company reached out to me on LinkedIn hoping to revamp their web copy for two pages. They said they had to quickly change it given the FDA guidelines and it’s not enticing enough for them. Friendly reminder folks- don’t work for Havas Health and You. They cut the freelancers hourly rates, again and made it so there’s no OT. The resource manager at HOV said if I couldn’t swing $80 an hour as an HCP copywriter, she’d have to find someone else. Good luck 👍🏻

Is WFH/remote work here to stay for freelancers? I’m in LA and considering a move to a much smaller market (Atlanta) but I’m worried about losing clients if I can’t physically go into the office (whenever that starts happening again).

Hey freelancers...I usually raise my rates every 2-3 years. For those of you long-time freelancers, how often do you raise rates? And by what percentage? Looking to keep up with market/cost-of-living and yet, not price myself out.

Not sure if anyone is gonna be down for this but i know of a writing gig with a rate of $60-$80/hr. It’s mainly website copy for a web3 company so it could be good to get that experience. DM if you’re interested.
