What does training automation look like at your companies?

We have a large unused professional library that includes a variety of authors, topics, and lots of the scholastic teaching resource books. Most are more than 5 years old, some much older. Some multiple copies of titles that were book studies over the years. No one is using these books and we need the space. I hate to just dump them in a trash bin. After setting them out for people to pick through at school, what can be done with these materials?

I graduated last year with a master’s in reading education. I was looking forward to getting hired as a reading specialist/literacy coach. However, I was just offered a job as a math coach. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I know a lot of reading strategies can be applied in math, but I’m feeling a bit indecisive about accepting the position. Do you have students who need reading help but start to resent being pulled out of class?

I am looking for ideas for a high school intervention class with students reading at PP-4th. I am a brand new teacher and have never taught intervention but we are extremely short staffed. I inherited the class mid-last semester and the former teacher had no framework whatsoever. I'm pulling grade level texts and trying to work on reading fluency and comprehension but don't feel like what I'm doing is effective, and the students are not very engaged. Any great resources I should check out?
