Anyone up for practicing case coming weekend?
I have been working in the construction industry for 2 years under a general contractor. I am wanting to get into consulting and my ideal role would be something like an Associate in Major Projects Advisory with KPMG. I’m curious to know which firms/companies have positions and departments like the one mentioned that I could apply for?

Agree with 45 - 50. At that point, you’re super senior but you’re still young enough to have all the energy needed to sustain a full plate of practice + biz dev/rainmaking.
Agree with 45-50. I’m 38 and honestly pretty exhausted so that doesn’t feel good to admit

The rainmakers whom I've seen ascend, generally did so fairly rapidly, and then they really hit their stride a few years after that. I'd say they are doing well by 40, and crushing it from 45 onwards.

If you’re at peak seniority, then you don’t have upward mobility, so this question seems a little odd?
For me, it was 59 when my compensation tripled but that’s more because I moved to a firm with an “eat what you kill” model rather than a socialist model.

lmao @ socialist model. Never heard it called that before
