Originally from Italy, I've been out to anyone at my former jobs in Europe without ever worrying about the reactions of my coworkers. Struggling with a friendship that has become toxic & fills me with anxiety. various factors have caused us to drift but it feels like nothing I say or do now is right. The issues seem to really come to a head for one when she is drunk, using it to air grievances with me. When sober she doesn’t feel like talking about it. I accepted a FADP offer but I have lifelong crippling anxiety It leads to (TMI) diarrhea, I can’t sleep at night, among a lot of other issues. I see a therapist and have their support in school accom. I appear high functioning and ever since uni went remote my life and performance has only improved. I know I’m capable of getting the work done and they must see potential if they hired me. But I feel that if I ask for WFH or other accom. I’m gonna be shooting myself and my career in the foot.

Hello all! I am looking for a job in finance/investments, but I’m having trouble attracting attention from employers. I have a finance degree from UGA, but all of my experience (3.5 years) is in sales (tech and real estate), so no relevant internships unfortunately. Any advice on how to market myself better and where I should be looking would be greatly appreciated!

Need career advice. Trying to break into a finance role, preferably an Analsyt role but I have no transferable experience. I worked as a mortgage loan officer (which is sales) for 2 years after college, but since mortgage is such a niche industry, no hard skills transfer and have no relevant undergrad internships unfortunately. I know I can essentially get any sales job I want in finance IE: financial advisor etc. but don’t want to be stuck in sales forever. Any advice?

I have been approached with an opportunity at JP Morgan Chase for their private client advisor role. The book is about 30M all in. I am currently an experienced hybrid asset manager wholesaler and have experience in advising as well. Curious about the opportunity with JPM and if it’s worth it. I currently make about 160k and if JPM would give me a high draw for the first 3 years to build, and if it’s feasible to sustain that 160+ there.

I'm in finance/tech FPA, looking to go back to the defense industry for a 25% increase in TC. But wanted to see if I should leverage the new salary with current company to see if they'll match.

Background: got a promotion at current company that didn't come with sufficient increase . After stating my case I was told it would be evaluated next October, which is what prompted the initial job search.

knows what the job entails exactly. I keep hearing about people "fooled" into taking a job in risk advisory thinking it'll really be advisory while they only end up doing IT and Audit support (which I do not want to do).

Working as a Senior Accountant at Vanguard with my CPA; 3 YOE, Greater Philadelphia area. Took this job to give accounting one more try and while I don’t regret it I’m bored. Anything in finance more challenging/less box-checking? People have recommended public but I’m not interested in audit/tax or travel.
