Thoughts on The Integer Group in Denver?
Going in house is the move, right?
Hi fishes! I volunteer with The Art of Good, a creative collective helping small businesses affected by the pandemic. They are seeking a little help from a media professional. Need an SEM POV for a small business looking to change their name and relaunch their brand. This is non-paid. More about giving back while in-between gigs. :) If you can help out or want to learn more, please reach out to me via LinkedIN. Thank you!! www.linkedin.com/in/karenkohn/

Cold and rainy if you’re moving from LA.
Just like home if you’re from Seattle.
Pro
Cold, rainy, more expensive life for less everything. Better public transport, potential for lots of traveling (once Covid settles).
The myth about London being so expensive compared to the States is something I always see on FB. It's so much cheaper. Cheaper groceries, cheaper restaurants, free health care, cheap travel. Rent is cheaper than SF, NY and LA. Salaries are less, but overall cost of living is still lower. But yes, it does rain a lot.
I moved from NYC to London and loved it! very hard to get visa sponsorship with Brexit uncertainty though, so I was only there for a year until I had to move back to the States. Cost of living is def lower than NYC, probably more comparable to LA.
Hi! Can you share how your salary was impacted making the move from NYC - London? I’m interested in doing the same but a little nervous about the numbers i’m seeing in the research I’ve been doing. Thank you!
What about meeting new people? And cultural nuances/differences?
I already had friends there (and it wasn’t covid!) so it was easier. I did go to some meet-up groups with similar interests which were a lot more interesting than those in the US. Def found ex-pats (from across the EU and aus) much more friendly than the English. Also make sure you hit up industry events (when that’s a thing again) like Glug, much more friendly and less aggressive networking than in the US.
