What's the biggest chance you've seen in students over the years?
For me, the biggest shift is attention and follow-through. I don't think students are "worse" in some simple old-man-yells-at-cloud way, but the stamina feels different now.
I find myself building in more structure than I used to: shorter directions,more reminders of what finished work actually looks like.
Curious what others are seeing. Is it motivation, phones, reading stamina, parent pressure, behavior, something else entirely?

Im a RN and took on a new role working in Home Health. I chose this position because My husband & I recently moved to PA with our 2 kids (1&3), with no family available for his residency program with a hospital. If you know that life, I’m pretty much the main parent for our kids. I don’t want to work in the hospital/floor work anymore; nor do I believe the hrs are flexible enough. I need a job that’s flexible for the kids but pays >$44/hr. Maybe remote or hybrid? Please help w/ suggestions.

A parent of one of my students told admin she thinks it's irresponsible that I won't be grading over Christmas break. I let the students know to get any work they need graded in before the break and I'll get it to it during our workdays in January. Apparently that's not fast enough for her 🙄. I’m working at a non big4 consulting firm for about 1.5yrs now, doing mainly international with some M&A exposure. I want to do llm because I still want to shoot for biglaw.
