MITREs Glassdoor rating is like a ski slope.

Wow. McKinsey, which has the biggest public sector presence of the MBB, really hasn't been doing too hot at all in the sector.
Its presence is tiny and it's gotten even smaller. Meanwhile it's bungling whatever opportunities it's getting.

Competitive - an prospective employee has gone through all the OPM hiring process rules.
Excepted service jobs don’t go through the same OPM rules. Postal Service is excepted service but has its own bureaucratic hiring process. FBI does too.

If there is a specific agency or job, feel free to ask. It is difficult to hire in as a new competitive service employee if you do not have a very highly sought after specific talent or if you don’t have Veterans preference.
