Not common but a pretty good exit
You are literally getting 300k pretax in cash the first year and probably 260 in cash the second year. But again, it’s a personal preference. If I can I’d take 300k in total comp at FAANG than 170-180k at big 4
Depends what kind of cyber
Your average cyber brogrammer kind of work
Amazon total comp is skewed SM1. You may never see that much with how they pay out. Their max salary is 160k and the rest is paid out as stock that is fully vested at 4 years
D2 - the vesting schedule is 5% first year, 15% year2, 40% year 3 and 40% year 4 for the RSUs. You get cash bonus for all the years to cover for the TC balance from RSUs. So your first year salary will be 160kbase + 5% stock + rest in cash paid monthly. It’s not bad at all and not sure why you say it is skewed
👋 Does Amazon always pay out their bonuses on a monthly basis? Is this only for the first year and is it different from the yearly bonus? Thank you.
SM2 I say skewed cuz people see 300k and think you’ll be making 300k. But in reality you’re getting only a very small portion of that in cash and if you leave before the RSUs are vested you’re not getting 300k. Idk about you but I’d rather have my bonuses available now and not later
