Being able to communicate cyber risk to the business. Too many people in cyber running around using Fear Uncertainty and Doubt.
Python, powershell, cloud anything
I mean... Any/all of them, right?
EY1 hit the nail on the head. People who can communicate the business impacts effectively. Too much geek speak and you lose c-suite/board immediately
Operations Technology cyber is a real hot area but hard to jump into without experience
EY OT cyber here, all of us come from vendors in the ICS space. Very small group as well, but we're always looking for more people as projects stack up. Prefer strong network and server infrastructure experience, we can usually train the rest. The main thing to know aside from how the vendors operate is instead of CIA, it's safety and then AIC. Not a lot of us out there so it's a very in demand skill set right now.
Active directory and windows architecture
I believe they are in the cyber threat management sub comp. They require a lot of experience
Cyber security is a very broad area, develop holistic knowledge and build deep skill in some areas such as security analytics IAM etc...
Strong IoT is also a must for OT - cloud security is rocketing, O365, Azure, GCP, AWS
C1 when it comes to travel in the OT group I have bad news...it's almost constant.
SecDevOps, Agile Security, Zero Trust Architecture... combined with a strong business acumen. The stars in cyber can speak business with executives, but also speak assembly language hacks with old school pen testers.
E1- so right. I’ve been told time and time again that my most important asset is understanding business and how security relates
@EY2 - what area at EY is this?
How can I get into EY OT . Am I able to work remotely or heavy travel? Mostly looking for remote work and minimal travel. Would any of you refer ? I have years of Azure and AWS , DevOps experience + prior core Cybersecurity and IT Compliance + Audit experience in my previous life :) all 5 AWS certs, 3 Azure certs, 1 GCP , CISSP and CISA too - 12 years of experience
Thank you, E3 for the confirmation - guess it won’t be a fit for me then.
