That’s not really the question, though, is it? The more interesting point is what will happen to those who don’t abide by such “strong encouragement.” It is kind of like parental leave—it’s there, but I’ve noticed that those who take it really do hurt their careers at large firms, despite how “accommodating” the firm says it is.
My firm went back to the office full time June 1 and I’ve done WFH at least two days a week. So far no one has said anything to me about it and it seems like as long as I keep my hours up, no one will.
My firm just started mandating masks again in office even for fully vaccinated, and you have to show proof of vaccine to come into the office. Boston, AmLaw200.
