PwC 🐠, I interviewed with the firm about 6 months ago for a Senior Associate position on the forensics team. I wasn’t extended an offer because the position was given to an internal transfer, at least what I was told. I tried reaching out to the recruiter I worked with last time but the email bounced back and wouldn’t be delivered. I was hoping to see / reapply if the group still was looking for seniors.
In your opinion, would it be best to reapply as a cold application?
I’d like to get off this island now.

Heard of people negotiating for more PTO... a girl at my last company negotiated an extra week
Always ask for more PTO. I got 3 days more than they offered last time
👆🏼everybody cares about not working. If you feel like you need a reason to ask for more PTO just say you already have some planned vacation
PTO, extra week here.
Maybe some conferences although I’ve tried that one and hasn’t worked so far. 😂
PTO
Vacation days. Minimum # of weeks severance if laid off
Bonuses, wfh opps, cell phone
I like to have my PTO matched from my previous job (especially after acquiring 5+ weeks).
PTO is huge. Try and get what you have at your current job plus some. It’s something that’s hard to get once you land a new home
@CW1 don’t try to negotiate more PTO at your first job. Will come off very poorly
PTO. Only. For me at least
Negotiate for things that help you do your job better or protect you from unforeseen circumstances Negotiating for PTO can give a bad impression and immediately tells your new employer you care most about not working
Entry level writer here. I’m starting my first job and I’m very content with the salary but should I try to negotiate the PTO still?
@ACD 1, And you have that planned for every year for the foreseeable future? Why not just say look, I’m more important and don’t like to work as hard as the average employee that your PTO policy was built for? Think you’re giving some bad advice to a senior director. Maybe ask for more PTO when more junior
The time to negotiate is after you receive and before you accept.
PTO is fine because you can only take so much anyways before you aren’t contributing enough and are let go....
At the end of the day though cash is king
What have people asked for in terms of minimum weeks severance (director level)? It sounds smart to cover but does that come off poorly too, like you’re anticipating being let go?
Do people ever negotiate medical coverage, meaning lower employee contribution than what is spelled out in the benefits?
