I work from home one day week, if not more. I have a dedicated workspace and when I’m in there, door closed, I’m working. I set myself up with dual monitors (easy to do), a comfy chair, boosted my internet connection so that I’m actually more productive. At home nobody shows up at my desk to ask questions or chat. I’ve been doing it for a long time and have a rhythm. I will occasionally run out to the store or pop a load of laundry in, but that takes no time and really doesn’t disrupt my flow. The key is the dedicated workshop space.
Agree 100%. I can get more done from the home office because there is no small talk with colleagues. There is also no commute so that’s an extra hour or so added to my work day.
I started to actually get work done once I had a dedicated home office that was similar to my work (desk, multiple monitors, door that can shut). Before then...not so much :).
I have like a really small personal laptop I use so I can only do some much work on my laptop at home. I can do normal daily procedures but projects and things that typically require multiple computer screens I can’t really do from home. Other than that I’d say I’m equally successful in getting work done ✅
Productivity goes way down but I’ll still get work done
When things are slow - I “WFH”. When shit needs to get done I get it done, although it does take a bit longer because I’m not at my desk with dual screens, mouse and keyboard
