When you continuously achieve your targets for long time, people start expecting same results every time. When manager and colleagues believe you will always deliver, it creates different pressure. You get used to success and start fearing failure. It affects mindset and confidence. How do you stay calm and handle this pressure without overthinking? How to balance expectations and keep performing consistently without stress? What is your opinion?

I have definitely noticed this and it’s very difficult to ride that fine line of doing “more than expected” but also “sticking to my job”

How you keep motivated your self ..?

It’s difficult. Because you see the quarter coming to an end and your numbers aren’t matching expectations. Even though your numbers are probably better than your coworkers they’re still not what your manager expecting to see from you. It’s a different kind of feeling.

How you handle this situation

I almost think of it as the opposite. When you consistently perform at a high level, you get a bit of a buffer between yourself and failure. If you mess up, people assume that it was a genuine accident and not just a reflection of your character or something you "always" do. Maybe changing your perspective a little bit can help?

Yeah i understand you point of view

What are my chances of successfully winning a racial discrimination claim? I manage a Data Science group, for months I’ve had serious difficulties getting anything approved by finance (more than any other department in the agency), last week the CFO finally snapped at me on an email that started to itch the expression “My Guy” where he then proceeded to demand excellence of me, etc… We are piers and we have never had a relationship. Thoughts?

NDAs - signed my first one as a part of a severance agreement. thinking about leaving an honest review for this company, but unsure about the liabilities that come with this. (NDA mentioned no defamation) leaning on the side of letting it go, but this employer sucked BAD and i want others to know. ik its hard to give a straight answer bc it depends on the agreement, but wheres the line between bad mouthing vs your honest experience?

I have over 12 years in B2B sales/sales management experience along with a graduate degree. I am wanting to shift gears and I am at a point where I can invest time in myself to learn through practical experience. The new industry I am wanting to pursue is real estate investment. I have read all the books but want some hands on experience on the property management side. How could I best leverage my skills for a role in this, and what should my expectations be for negotiation in compensation?

I like to pursue in the data science field. I have business Analyst experience but to switch to data science field could you guide me on what should I learn? Where should I start?

Curious what’s a fair salary in MA? Was just told that there is likely not going to be a chance for a raise during my upcoming performance review due to my salary already being “above average for the industry” based on my employer’s questionable research. I’ve been with the company 8.5 years & am the only one in my role, which they can’t operate without. I execute tasks from two investment advisors and two financial planners - they make the decisions of what should happen & I make it happen.

I have an offer and want to negotiate

1. London base salary but I have to absorb all the expenses (train + stay)
I am thinking to negotiate to

2. home base salary and have my expenses paid for

I know that's depends on the amount I have to travel (and potentially stay) but at the moment this is unknown. Past 8 months was just twice a month + 2 nights stay.

The only thing I know is it won't be every week, the return trian ticket is about £80-100, depends I could plan ahead.

Does anybody know what the typical salary range is and total comp for someone starting out as an internal or external wholesaler? If you are one of these, can you share about your experience in terms of whether you liked it or not, work life balance, travel, etc?

I am a registered sales assistant which means I have my series 7. I also have the 63 and my Life & Health license. I was a financial advisor but the role is commission only so I decided to take a role as an assistant for some time to learn etc. I really like my role, but I only make 32k a year and after taxes I only take home about 25k. I have a gut feeling that I’m not being paid market value but it’s tough to find comparable salaries. Do you think $15.38/hr is a fair wage in this case?

Is anybody here a notary? And how much are you making from that? Is it a potential side-hustle?
