When you travel for work (flying and staying 3 nights), how do you bill your travel time when paid hourly? Specifically, what if travel time is outside normal business hours? Do you bill for work-related dinners?

I bill for all travel time (in uber, at airport, on the plane) and work related dinners - but like if I’m free to do whatever I want and choose to hang with coworkers after hours, I don’t consider that a work dinner and won’t bill for the time.

Bill travel time from your house til you arrive at the hotel

Like others said, you bill from the moment the Lyft picks you (they pay for it) until the minute you get to your hotel. If you're working at the hotel, you bill for that too. And you bill for dinners you are required to attend. Then you do the same on the way home.

From the moment I leave my door to when I come back to my home.

Haha if you’re dreaming about work, you’re on the clock

Hi guys,

I switched 20 days back to Optum. I have 7 years of experience working as a full stack Engineer, who is passionate working on both front end and back end on latest technologies. But my project is working only on back end with 10 years old tech stack. There is no front end work at all. What should I do?
I don't like working here at all, but I am not sure whether moving out again in a month will give bad Impression on my resume. Hence please give me advice on this situation

Performance reviews coming at the end of the this year and I’m wondering 1) if my salary is on par with what I should expect 2) how to approach conversations about raises and promotion with my supervisor. Thanks for any insights.
