I am right there with you. I never really loved going to the holiday parties to begin with. I was not one bit sad to miss it this year.

A friend went to his over the weekend. He only went to eat at a restaurant he couldn’t afford and for several big TVs they raffled off. He didn’t win. No Super Bowl party at his house.
I do not miss the holiday parties at all, lol. They were always very awkward and felt uncomfortable for me. But I'm not a big socializing type person, so I guess that's not super surprising.

I never socialized beyond the my team anyway, so I would rather just go to lunch.
I have the exact opposite feelings as you lol. Since we’re all working remotely and can’t get together for the holidays, we get to skip the whole holiday office party scene. It’s one of those unexpected perks. I really enjoy.

I been to a few and had a good time. I just found myself not looking forward to attending any this year or even asking why nothing was planned. But I hope you get to celebrate!

I’m on the fence! We ultimately did have one, and it was so nice to see everyone and mingle and have a night to catch up about not work
That being said, it’s not something that makes or breaks my holidays or my overall job experience. Feels more like a box to check than anything

I’m happy to say I like my job and enjoy working with my team. Even though we don’t physically work together, we stay pretty engaged. It’s the semi final of our fantasy football league. I had a good time just trash talking with them online. We didn’t need a party for that.
I don’t miss the big “rubber chicken” type get together but I liked when we did group volunteering events and miss those. I also miss the smaller holiday drinks with 3-4 of my top work homies. I like a little in person camaraderie

I like getting together. Working remotely, we do plan lunches together for all of us in the same area. Since it’s a regular thing, I don’t feel pressure to do something for the holidays.
