Where do you get your information about companies you are applying to? Glassdoor, company website, LinkedIn? Do you ever look at industry news sites? Or set a Google news alert? It all seems like a lot of work, but probably worth it.

Have you ever thought about going to their company website and researching there? Indeed, Glassdoor, and LinkedIn have brief information on the companies and reviews (if employees left any).
I would recommend going to their website to do research and if you happen to catch any news stories on the company as most employers do ask what you know about their company. The recruiters and hiring managers want to know that you have done your research and that you are serious about working with the company.

Yes, checking the news section of the company website is a good idea.

Anyone from Embark able to tell me about some benefits you have. Like how long is Paternity leave and do you have to be with the firm for a year to use it? Also what health insurance do you have? I saw that Embark fully pays premiums but if it’s a junk insurance company then that’s not so great haha.
Also how often are you traveling / in office? Thanks!

I hate when people use the phrase “I would die for (xyz)” when xyz is something no one would actually die for - like a random cute dog on the internet or whatever. I mean, would you really die for that? It’s cute and all, but, no, I would not die for it.
