Great question. I wish there was more info about benefits across the HoldCo’s in general. It would be instructive to be able to place a value on the benefits package of HoldCo A vs. B. For example, if you work for HoldCo A and are offered a role at HoldCo B, knowing the value of each benefits package would make the decision a lot easier. I wish the Trades would report on this—it’s something they could compile and track.
Assuming you are in the US? Publicis gives 4.5-5 months depending on if you have a c-section. I have never heard of any agencies in the industry giving less than 3 months. I would hope in 3-4 years that things get even better and parents get longer leaves. Wishful thinking! Also, since you’re planning so far ahead, you can always save up and take a bit of extra time unpaid on top of your leave if that is something you wish to do. Most reasonable employers will let you do this.
