JPMorgan Chase recently introduced a policy change to increase the notice period to 60 days. I'm a 602 and resigned recently and yet my LWD is showing up as 30 days from now. Anyone recently resigned can confirm if they are facing the same or new policy is in effect. This is causing confusion with the next companies I'm interviewing with.

I am currently in Tampa and I would say Orlando. I think your responses will be in line with the "grass is greener on the other side." Orlando in my opinion has a lot to offer for civil litigation, especially in the area of theme park litigation. Now if we were talking Tech sector, Miami is where its at!
I’m not sure the legal markets are all that different, but Tampa has more to offer, I think (and say as a long time orlando resident who isn’t planning on moving).
Both cities have a handful on national firms (Foley, H&K, Baker) and well respected local or regional firms (Gray, Lowndes, Stearns Weaver) depending on what you’re looking for.
I would say Tampa is probably a bigger market but I’m in Orlando and it’s been a pretty decent market. I know friends who have lateraled and there’s no shortage of jobs/opportunity. The market is small so everyone knows everyone. You can get to know the state and federal court judges pretty well if you’re a litigator. I’ve enjoyed it. I came from a larger city (where I started my practice) and I don’t feel like Orlando has any fewer (or less quality) opportunity - although the pay scale is much lower.
Both cities are experiencing such growth and it’s very hard to really grasp the pros and concepts of each except for it seems as though Tampa has a more expansive legal market.
Following bc interested. Currently in Orl.
Worked in both markets. Tampa likely better market unless you’re in hospitality industry. Orlando probably growing at a less rapid rate (but still growing), so COL is probably very slightly better in Orlando still as Tampa continues to grow at a ridiculous pace. More big firm practices in Tampa. As such, I would say there are generally more opportunities at the top firms available in Tampa, but I’m sure someone on here will disagree. But in terms of biglaw and midsize regional firms, tampa seems to have more associate positions to offer.
