Which is the most optimal DTE to pick when selling options / spreads?

When picking shorter DTE you typically get a high theta and low delta, but if the IV is high the trade may turn against you and it has less time to return positive

With longer DTE you ensure that if the IV is high it has more time to drop so my bet is that the trade is safer, but also the cashflow is less recurrent

I can see short term changes but the way Amex has been aggressively marketing Platinum card, we just will have overcrowding of primary card holders 🤷🏻‍♂️

If my company is deducting tax on reimbursements for example relocation, flight travel, mobile usage, etc. Then how to show in tax filing? bcoz as per my understanding it should not be taxable as I am using my money and company is refunding and no extra income. I started trading during Covid crash. Started with equities and eventually moved to options. Earlier lost a month's salary and then lot more trying to recover it. Currently have lost my yearly salary worth and it's affecting all aspects of my life (job, marriage, health). I have tried to convince myself to consider it a loss but always get back trying to recover it.

Any advice how to deal with it. Thanks.
