Just took my first ever LSAT practice test, scored a 144 but left a bunch of questions blank due low on time. I haven’t sat in a chair for a test like that since high school. I just bought a prep course but feeling like I got a long way to go for my goal of 165. Any thoughts of suggestions, I’m taking the LSAT in november
Favorite easy Thanksgiving recipes? I was asked to bring a side dish for my family's meal and have this evening only to plan, shop, and cook. Easily-transportable please (no soups). Thanks fam!!
Any big law attorneys that have switched to in-house positions? Is the work life balance any better?

After this quarantine I'm really wondering if I'm marrying the right person..... There seems to be too many fundamental differences. Been together 5 years. Is anyone else having these issues.
Jesus. Anyone know how this might impact US citizens working with the ICC in adjacent roles (ie. in victim support roles, NGOs)? Non-American here - what’s the response in the US legal community?

What's more important: fast commute or work/life separation, e.g. not living within eyeshot of your office?
Residential Real Estate. Started practicing five years ago in NYC because it was a firm that was willing to pay me out of law school. I had little interest, but 5 years in the field has taught me a lot. I have periodically realized that my skill set is limited - never stepped inside a courtroom and don’t know the first thing about litigation. Are there any other residential r/e attorneys out there who feel trapped in their field?
So I’m doing a secondment, but it’s supposed to only take up to 70% of my time. It’s going to take more than that. I’m already getting pressure from partners at the firm and simply don’t have enough hours in the day to do two full time jobs. I’m thinking of putting an out of office on to my firm email during the day (explaining where I am and what I’m doing) - is that dumb? I feel like I can’t possibly monitor two inboxes at once and the firm wanted me to do this, anyway. Advice, please.
On the topic of SERP describing the runway opinion as absolutely no college, stay trafficked, I've included a list of orgs I am starting to work with for bridge advocacy. Can anyone think of others?

Is law school the only way to make real money? I am a paralegal, practicing for 15 years. I’m good at what I do and respected in my practice area. Yet am paid only $5k more than my assistant.
Long shot but anyone in NJ or NYC area looking to hire a an associate with little experience that graduated in May ‘19? Awaiting bar results.
I have been reading posts from newer associates about bad things partners have done or said to them and I think it could be fun for some of us more senior lawyers in the bowl to tell stories of mean things partners did or said to us when we were new associates. Hopefully it stays mostly light and not horrible things.
NY 🐟: meeting my ex in NYC, need a marriott with great bars and hang out spots around (not Manhattan/Times Square/Downtown area). Any suggestions ?
Who still has SPG Gold with their Corporate Plat AMEX? I've always had it (used to be 150 Plat but was staffed where Marriott was only) and all the sudden it's gone. It's written in the T&C's online
I have a great opportunity on the table that’s currently work remote with the end goal of returning to the office 1-2 times a week when it’s safe. However, after the past couple months, I don’t see myself returning to live in the big city. Has anyone requested to work fully/mostly remote with a new offer? How did it go? How did you request it so it seems beneficial? Thanks 🙏🏼
Wishing everyone a very Happy Diwali and a prosperous year. May the divine light lead everyone to success, good health and prosperity !!
