Anyone from an internship? Also could ask someone you worked with that left the firm.
I dealt with something similar and ultimately got them to push references until after I received an offer.
Has there been any senior associates who have left?
I’ve used a couple friends who had left the firm. But if you don’t have anyone, I’d look at past internships or confide in a trusted friend at the firm.

Find a trusted mentor at the firm. Maybe a senior associate you’ve worked with for years and can confide in. It’s also not a problem to not want to stay at the firm forever: most people don’t. Don’t sweat it.
I left as a midlevel and my references were senior associates I was friendly with.
