Everybody on here saying “I make a mil and still live paycheck to paycheck” are pretty mean bc yall 115k is a real salary that is a struggle to live on depending on your city, like cmon say something helpful
Same as RSM, but here in the last couple of years, we've finally gotten serious about clawing our way out of debt.
Financial security has absolutely nothing to do with how much you make, it's all about how much you spend.
I wouldn’t go as far as “nothing to do with how much you make”. Revenue and Costs are two sides of the same coin
How do you define living paycheck to paycheck?
I make $105k and save over 50% of my take home pay. And no, I don’t live at home with parents, I rent.
Depends where you live. $250k is good in NYC. I make $500k now, own my coop outright and now only pay $900 a month for coop fees to live so I think I've optimized my finances now.
I make over 300k and I live paycheck to paycheck.
I’m about the same salary as you, I’m in the Northeast and am paycheck to paycheck. I used to think once I hit 100k I would be in good shape- turn out I was wrong. That isn’t the benchmark it used to be.
My salary was as low as $28k a year (early in my career), and I have never lived paycheck to paycheck.
In this economy? Yeah a six figure salary means nothing. You can definitely live paycheck to paycheck with that.
