Reviewing a salary offer for a Benefits Manager position in Greensboro, NC industry is retail. Offer made of $95k with 18% bonus. I have 16 YOE, degree in Business, and PHR and Shrm certification. Potential employer has 10k plus employees. I will have two reports and will report directly to the Director of Total Rewards. Any thoughts or advise on offer made? Reasonable offer but probably a little room to negotiate. Would consider asking for 105-110 and see if you can land around 100.

Hey everyone, I need some advise. I've been interviewing for a company for the last 4weeks. The salary was originally discussed as (say Xk) but the recruiter I'm working with said today that they "realigned the goals" and brought the salary down to (Xk-10). I wasn't even okaay with Xk tbh, and now they've gone ahead and reduced it by 10k! I'm attending the final round on Friday - do y'all have any tips on how I can negotiate my salary to X+10 and let them know that this is highly unprofessional?

Hi all! I spent 8 years working in the veterinary field before deciding to go back to school to get a degree in communication media. I graduated in 2020 and I got a job with a national franchise (corporate) less than a year after graduating. The role was for a Brand Manager and it transitioned to Communication Manager about 7 months in. The company was toxic, disorganized, had no idea what they were doing. *cont in comments*

My small company was bought out by a corporation. During the acquisition process, the new HR team wants to demote my title from “manager” to “specialist” due to their company requirements. I declined the offer and they changed the offer to grandfather my title in but are still evaluating my salary based on a specialist role. My supervisor (a VP) and our President disagree with this choice but are making no headway with the new HR team. What can we do?

The two deals I had worked for months and in procurement Feb 1 close last week at 445k & $399k. $60+k comm to new AE - $0 to me. 😩

Additional Posts in Salary Negotiations

Having an Interview this week, and don't know how high I should set my salary expectations. I currently earn 24k/annum base + comission. Would it be unreasonable to say that I have 30k + comission atm? I think it also hardly depends on the location, I am currently working from Poand but would be working for a swiss company.
Currently have about 7months exp. and thoughts on this?
Appreciate the input

They stated 120k+ is extremely high for that role. What do you guys think? Playing the game?

Have people received inflationary raises? My dad received a letter stating that they’re giving him a 6.5% raise + a one time lump sum of $750 bc of inflation, retroactive to July 1st. Kind of feel like my company is being shady because I work in CRE & we do raises + bonuses in February which was when I was planning to ask for an inflationary raise. But I feel like a lot of companies have done this without having their employees ask?

I'm curious what my expectations should be for a base salary for an HR Generalist position at a plastics injection manufacturer. They are approximately 355+ employees with 4 plants. I have 3+ years experience as a recruiter, 15+ years experience has a top manager/leader, and a bachelor's degree. I haven't worked since I was laid off from my previous position in 2020. In my 5 interviews I have had so far, salary has not been mentioned once. What do you think I should expect if offered?

I’ve been offered a position that I’m really excited about. Their initial offer was 10K more than the top of the salary range they gave me for the position when I asked during the interview process and at the top end of the salary requirements I set for myself. My partner thinks I should still negotiate for more even though I’m happy with the offer. Am I an idiot if I don’t negotiate in this case? Realistically, I don’t think I’d get much more than that, but should I negotiate out of principle?
