Not substantively but in terms of appearing in court and being comfortable in that sense, it is hugely useful!
Have you considered going out on your own?
With crim you’ll easily get trial experience in your first month.
I think any sort of trial experience is helpful for family law (assuming that’s what you mean). Civil litigation I think is helpful too - pretty much any courtroom experience in my opinion. Bonus if you could get into child abuse/neglect kind of stuff on the criminal side.
