lol if your trying to get into consulting or banking you might as well get used to it. The companies arnt going to respect your time once you start.
You sound like you know nothing about real life.
Yeah I think you gotta get used to this kind of schedule if you are going to be successful/make a lot of money. The work doesn't stop just because it's the holidays. I think that you have to suck it up and show up for these interviews if you want to land a role
Your holiday break does not equal their holiday break. Holy entitled
If you want a job, you should just be happy you’re getting interviews. MBAs command high salaries. More money, more problems. If you don’t like long hours and disruptions during holidays and weekends, I suggest you apply for a government job
It also may not be a good fit for you. Sometimes that’s just the culture of a company
This is the reason why you won’t get chosen for any internship or good job. You’re young and worrying about work life balance…
Lol working 60-80 hours/week and during weekends was my life before the MBA and during it, and I have interviews with MBBs and other consulting firms and F500 companies lined up. 😉
I was just surprised that this F500 company with a supposedly established recruiting process and recruits on campus didn't give us any heads up at all, so I could at least fit it into my travel schedule without messing up my family's plans. But I genuinely appreciate everyone's POV into the realities of businesses. 🙂 Now I'm learning that more businesses than I'd expected don't have their crap together.
