I currently work at a very ”hyped” food delivery tech company. I’ve been there for 1,5 years now, but the pay is low, bad company culture and I don’t feel appreciated for the work I do. So i’m overall not to happy there, and looking for a new job. However every interview I’ve had so far ask why I want to leave such a ”great” company after less than 2 years? I don’t want to shittalk my job but it’s really makes me feel like i should stay another 6m just so I don’t look bad. What would you do?
If you filed I-485 are you in status if you quit or are laid off and have enough time to basically find a new job until you get your interview? Im trying to understand what happened in the days when eb based gc didn’t require an interview and someone was laid off
Just got dinged from McK & BCG US, but received offers to interview with their offices in my home country. (EU) Is it worth doing this and try to transfer to the states at some point or should I reject outright? (Have a T2 return offer and a Bain interview for the US)
Interviewing w/ IBM Watson Health... Anyone have feedback on the firm / direction? Curious about brand new CEO...firm has acquired a lot in healthcare recently, but also had major layoffs last year
Recruiter from Amazon reached out for a phone screen for a L7 role st Amazon - Principal Product Manager, Technical. I'm a first year M and have been in consulting mostly. I do have the technical expertise the role requires but no product management experience per se. Think L7 at Amazon for me is a reach. My concern is if I interview and fail, I will be barred from interviewing from another role for 6 to 12 months. Should I give it a shot or save my chance for something more realistic (e.g. L6)?
I’m considering applying for remote legal admin positions in addition to my current role (also remote, with flexible schedule). Do we foresee any issues with working two remote jobs, assuming no conflicts? How could I go about talking about my current role, if asked? It would be nice to have an extra income source, and since I work from home, I don’t see the time being an issue.
Currently interviewing with Deloitte S&O, what are the salary bands like for a consultant? They are saying they can't bring me in as a senior consultant because I don't meet the 5 yr work experience
Hi 🐠 - currently in a transformation role in industry (3 YOE) - I’m interviewing for EY Finance Transformation (Senior), but I also have an in with KPMG Strategy (Senior). Would love some opinions on which would look better on a resume / app for grad school! Also any insight on comp would be appreciated. Thanks!
I am planning to put my papers without any offer, and then look for offers in the next 3 months. Is it a right decision? Please guide me on this 🙏🏽
I’ve 3 years left on h1b. But I hopefully can get my gc filed as well. Should I try applying for that instead of h1b extension? I’m confused what’s in my best interest given current situation .
I have an interview for a PM role at Slalom with HR. Has anyone gone through this recently? Any tips/recommendations?
Interviewed Saturday for Deloitte USI and was asked for Payslips and documents next day. In how many days can I expect the offer letter or next update?
I caved an took 0.5 mg of xanax and drank a beer to cap off this hellish week (dw, I don't abuse either substance). Can't keep this stress up forever. Thankfully I've had some great interviews with companies this week and am looking forward to the outcome of those to find somewhere with a more manageable WLB and culture. Just felt like sharing. Best of luck to other fish out there who are struggling.
Does anyone have any recommendations on how to prep for a human capital case study? I’m interviewing for SC role and have deep knowledge in the areas of Org Design, Change Management and Culture Transformation. I worry more about structuring the conversation and my answers in the most effective way
I’m in a small, close knit bar. I love my firm (not biglaw) and the people I work with but I really, truly hate billing hours. I am interviewing with a boutique firm that does not track billables and has a great rep for work/life balance. I’m excited at the prospect of more $ for less time, but will also feel guilty to leave my firm after they spent significant resources over the past few years “raising” me, only to lose me. Tell me I’m being silly and that this won’t burn bridges.
How did you get an interview at MBB? Referral or online application? Or maybe contacting the recruiter on LinkedIn? I’m with 2YOE in healthcare/analytics consulting. Recently looking to move forward to MBB. Appreciate any suggestion!
Interview advice: Do I need to take out my nose ring for an interview, when the agency was the one to prospect me?
Lady 🐠 - What's S&'s maternity leave policy? Do you get the option to skip CRT? Does it play against you on any way?
Need to move to the burbs w/fiancee, but where? Staying in BK is not an option, though we will eventually work in the city 1-2 days/week (someday?). Won't do long island, need a 2 car garage w/space to work on cars and also space for a woodshop whether it's in basement or elsewhere. Planning on having kids and because we'll work from home a lot still need office space. I grew up in burbs and it wasn't so bad because I lived walking distance to train station into the city & nice downtown. 800k!
One of our older advisors is about to retire so his book will be split amongst us junior advisors. What can I do to pitch myself to him and to management to earn the bigger accounts?

As a immigrant woman from middle class family, all my life, I felt the need to comprise everything, that I always get the third/fourth best choice because of money. My parents shamed me when I get anything good since I was a kid. So even now even I can afford some good things, I never get myself anything good, and I felt bad about it but still very penny pinching.
Need some advice - been at the D for a year and have been on the same implementation project for over a year. Have a technical background and am thinking of starting to look for exits to industry but also am curious what strategy projects are and if I would be interested in the work. Is it worth networking onto a strategy project at the D or should I just continue to look for industry exists and then go b school and then try for MBB/T2 ?
My company is sub on my project and the prime are, to put it delicately, extremely frustrating. Advice?
Anyone worried about layoffs? I saw a post about Deloitte laying off 5000 employees ... I know EY saying no lay off this year but what about other firms?
Hilton wouldn't let me in to the executive lounge even tho I have status and front desk verified at check in and check out I had access. How many points can I ask for?
I have an offer with a T2 consulting firm that I've accepted but I have another offer at a tech company that I plan to go with. With everything wfh, do I have to renege or can I just work at the consulting firm as a new hire on the bench for a few weeks before quitting once the workload piles up?

Any ballpark on Canadian product manager compensation and options? - Series A FinTech - from 2yoe consulting/industry
On my way to LA for a shoot tomorrow. I am sure I’ll check in with client, have internal powwows etc. I want to charge for this day as I will be working but agency is technically closed...
Hi all, I wondering what I should do i was planning on taking an advance Accounting course in January 2021. Part of my company benefits is tuition reimbursement. I got an email back from my manager that was clearly drafted by the Director. The email basically stated that they were concerned that I was over working myself and the course would not be reimbursed at this time maybe in April that would be after they reevaluate the situation. My question here is should I be concerned I’m a target.
