Ex Slalom employee here. It really isn’t as staff aug heavy as you might think. Yes, like all consulting firms a good portion of their work is staff aug. But while I was there I never worked on a single staff aug project. the people are some of the most genuine I’ve ever worked with. Hours are better than B4 but the more senior you get the more comparable they are. Leadership is meh but if you want to work with kind and hard working folks with a better wlb you should consider it. It is a tech consulting firm so if you have an accounting / finance background you likely will be doing staff aug work. If you have an analytics or software engineering background you will work on some really cool projects. People at Slalom drink the koolaid way too much, so keep that in mind.
Got it, thanks for the detailed response! I hear you on the pay vs. hours equation... I left consulting for a job that pays 20% less, but I also work about 20% less and so far it's been worth it. Just need to keep the decent WLB going!
Apart from other answers, they also pay really well in UK. Much more than Big4/ACN S&C.
