Anyone hiring for a paid acquisition marketer? 👀
AWS cloud application architect. Had an on-site interview with AWS a few days ago and just got an email saying they want to talk to me about next steps. The role is cloud application architect but I want to ask them about the senior cloud application architect role. I have all the relevant experience for that role and feel like I’d be a better fit for that senior role. How should I approach this conversation? Is this even possible? Amazon

Ugh, so sorry! I’ve been there too. Have you considered tailoring your resume and cover letter for each job and checking with an online AI resume checker? Small tweaks can make a big difference. And don’t forget to network, as I am sure you have been, it can often help get you noticed faster to have someone pass your name along
The winter months are often slow, but my guess is it might also be the jobs report and the Fed only forecast to lower the prime rate twice in 2025. In addition to those things, I'm sure they're all waiting to see how disruptive Trump's initial period is in office and I'm not just talking about anything Trump might do, I'm also talking about how the Dems react to it.
Try 300 applications with a 1% success rate
I think the issue is that companies dont really know who they want to hire and are kind of shotgunning to try and find that perfect person. You may be 85% of what they need, but alas, they want someone with 91% match or higher. There is not alot of "We can train to fill in the gaps" right now.
Damn, that’s a ton. Warehouse roles?
Manager 1, I wouldn’t want someone like you to lead any team
What does vall mean?
You mean no avail?
Only 50???
Anyone one to tell this guy, or should I??
And you’re missing the point...
Many folks are applying to hundreds of jobs and not getting calls back.
Keep plugging away.
If things aren’t working, try doing something different.
300+ since August for me. Good luck out there.
50 is nothing, not enough. People apply for 50 jobs a week, or in a few days
It takes hundreds of applications to find couple that interviews you, and maybe one or two extends an offer
50? Those are rookie numbers. I applied for over 150 and got one call back. Gave me 1 week to do an online test but I missed it due to holidays. So I’m filled another 150 applications.
Edit: Just noticed you’re not in tech but in warehouse. But I doubt it’s any easier there either.
