I've been interviewing with some companies, and now I have to decide between JPMorgan Chase and Globant.
Globant is more innovative, and has remote work. I will enter to work with a Sillicon Valley startup based in San Francisco. The tech stack is React, Nextjs, AWS, and a serverless architecture.
JPM is semi remote, and less innovative. The tech stack Java, SpringBoot and AWS. But I'd do more migration tasks, like dockerize projects and pass them to kubernetes. What would you choose?

> Is it a bad time to switch jobs , given the current market conditions
I think it's fine, especially if you're more senior. (I'm biased though, I just switched jobs earlier this month, and got a pay raise to actually keep up with inflation).
> Also, what are your thoughts about working at Meta
I don't have a strong opinion one way or another due to a lack of info that isn't already in the public.
I recently jumped roles for a 60% raise. The market for experienced devs is doing just fine
It all depends. What you're seeing now is a lot of tech companies and some startups who are laying off people. This is probably due to stocks falling and concerns from stakeholders so these tech companies have to lay off to maintain a certain amount of profit/growth. Also, I believe they would lay off the underperformers and the departments that don't have as much of an impact while also freezing or rescinding hiring.
If you switch to a non-tech company as a Software Engineer, then you may have better chances of job security but just a reminder that no one is invincible from getting laid off - whether you're a new hire, loyal employee who's been there forever, etc.
If you want to stay at your current job for possible job security then that's fine but if you want more pay or just a better job, then it's definitely worth trying.
