EnY is LLP company where multiple owners run the company and are officially called partners.Your work culture ,salary growth and other related aspirations depend on which partner you are tagged or working with. There is nothing called EnY culture everything depends on which shop you are in at EnY and which partner is running that shop
Aptly said - All depends on your 'shop owner' and client. Career progression is another point that's extremely non- transparent. Under some partner/teams you might get a progression easily by continuously performing well, while in others you might be required to 'act like a manager' for a year or two even before getting the tag or financial benefit. Better to know the team and their progression strategies before hand and then take a call.
Everything depends on the client you work for. EY just expects you to work towards a happy client. Complete all the learnings which are mandatory. EY also offers training and certifications every month, keep enrolling and completing them. EY is quite generous with Bonuses if you perform well. 20% and beyond. Increments are ok. Around 9% is what i hear this year for most. At least that is what i got.
Usually the hike is between 12-15% for average performance and more than that for top performers. But this year has been exceptionally shitty in terms of hike. The bonus usually is 15-18%, but to compensate the decrease in hike they have tried to give full target bonus. Still overall is extremely low. Not sure why when they keep boosting about high revenues, profits and records they have been doing.
Positively put, you will get into a lot of work.but take a call and choose things where you will either learn or end up leading that work piece in the future else there is a tendency to get involved in a lot of fire fighting where are the end you cannot put these things in your experience
Work culture is very messy and unorganized and it may not align your goal if you have some goals to achieve here. Also if you are tech guy then a BIG NO. Until you love to work in PPT. The only skill you will get from here is how to make PPT and office politics.
