Will I be pigeonholed in workers comp defense after 3 years? I’ve been at my current firm doing workers comp defense for exactly a year now. I need to be in my current state for another 2 years but then am going to a different state for my spouse’s education requirements (doctor completing a fellowship). Don’t know if it’s work jumping ship to a new firm for only 1.5 years or so when I’m relatively happy at my new firm.

Just found out that end of the year I will be promoted from analyst directly to VP and since it’s such a large jump I’ll be the lowest paid VP in asset management at only $135k TC. Hi All, I’m thinking about getting certified in change management but not sure if I should go the Prosci route or CCMP route. CCMP is a lot cheaper compared to Prosci but would it measure up just the same?

I guess it would be similar to the discussion of the SHRM-SCP vs SPHR.

I am looking into the CCP (Certified Compensation Professional). It seems to be quite an expensive exam.

I'm currently on £60k at a start up. Just got offered a job at a games company with a salary of £50k + 15% bonus 😖 I immediately spoke to them and told them that is way below my current salary and they raised to £56k + 15% bonus which would put me on £64.4k total comp. I've said I'll think about it and hope they raise the offer again.
Should I not consider this at all if they don't at least match my base? I have been aiming for £70k-£80k when looking at new jobs

Anyone have any suggestions for getting a client to cooperate with discovery. We were retained by a insurance company for their insured and he has not returned emails or phone calls in about 4 weeks. Plaintiff’s counsel wants a settlement offer, and discovery responses or they’re gonna file a motion to compel. The company has been made aware of the insured’s noncooperation but they have tell us they’re pulling coverage for us to withdraw.

PLC just hit me with a MTC and sanctions because an insured took too long to give me depo dates while he underwent cancer treatment. This is after agreeing to extend discovery by two months. Should I oppose this thing or line my cats litter box?

What is the consensus on whether to mention in depo reports to a client that a Plaintiff or witness is attractive? I know its inappropriate, but we can't deny that kind of thing matters to jurors and should be part of any consideration of settlement, right?

Anyone ever have to go to Small Claims Court? We just got assigned a case where a Plaintiff is disagreeing with the insurance company’s repair estimate for their vehicle from a fender bender.
