My father passed away last week. I had wills written up for him, he has a small c corp, and we don’t live in a community property state. Mom’s still with us, fortunately.
Besides informing social security, filing a life insurance claim, getting a death certificate, flagging his credit card, and starting the probate process, is there anything else I need to do immediately (in a financial/regulatory sense)?
I’ve been following the guide here: https://www.reddit.com/r/personalfinance/wiki/death_of_loved_one/ but others guidance is always appreciated.

Quick qstn - I'm receiving HRA of 24075 from my employer but I would like dhow the rent paid as 96k p.a (while filing ITR). Even if I do so, I was only able to get exemption of 24075 from gross. Checking if we can speak to payroll department to increase Actual HRA since I'm actually paying more rent than compared. Will I be able to do so ?Deloitte Newco EY Accenture Genpact KPMG

I wasn’t personally involved in the claim, but my office handled a cases for a successful model who sued after she was allegedly bitten by bedbugs. She claimed loss of earnings (past and future). In any event, Pltf has the burden of proof.
Doubt she pays her taxes. Get aggressive with that lost wage claim and subpoena everything. Demand will drop once she realizes you won’t give up
Repped a similar establishment once. In most states those tips are taxable, and either the club takes a cut of the tips or charges rent to the performer for use of the space, like how salons often rent out the chair to the hairdresser. Check state tax law on tips.. There should be 1099s.
