WLB thread: what are you average weekly/daily hours and do you often work weekends? (e.g 1/4 of the year) Also your consulting firm rank (T1,T2 etc)

One morning after a night out, I woke up in a stupor and believed it to be Saturday when it was actually Friday.. Only later in the weekend did I realize that I had completely missed work Friday, didn’t log in or talk to anybody.

When I came back to work on Monday and began to assess damage, my manager / team acted like nothing had happened and my team lead was OOO so they didn’t notice. No meetings were scheduled but expected to be fired/screwed, will always worship that Manager and team

18 months into a pandemic, I’m really feeling like there needs to be 24 hours—one day— where if you have a license to practice law, you’re prohibited from helping anyone. Hashtag Nero is burnt out and wanna fiddle.

I recently found out that I was being paid less than everyone in the team (more than 25% gap to more expe teammates, around 15% less than new hires)
We all had the same responsibilities, I consider I even had a heavier workload (talking in past tense since I very recently made an internal move).
Things to consider:

What would you recommend doing?
Keeping it to myself?
Speaking up? How? With who?

Insurance Defense Associate new to group. Just finished first year on the defense side after 6 years on the Plaintiff side, joined 3 weeks before lockdown. WFH with 6 and 2 year old. While billing 2k in a year with kids at home all day is nuts, you will not get better balance in a small pltff firm. Small firm partners are allergic to WFH, and can't afford to be flexible with when an associate gets to their work. The support of a larger firm is what has kept me alive this past year.
